Quartz Enigma Gold Countertops for New Construction Kitchen in Boerne, TX
Project Backstory
This project in Boerne, Texas, represents a successful collaboration between AGS Granite Countertops and Pasadera Builders on a new construction. The focus was on delivering a high-end kitchen space, utilizing approximately 260 square feet of Quartz - Enigma Gold. This material selection formed the foundation of the kitchen's aesthetic, providing a durable and elegant surface suitable for a modern home.
The design specifications aimed for a sophisticated and seamless look. Key features of the installation included a full-height backsplash, which contributes to a clean and dramatic appearance, and integrated quartz and wood waterfall legs. The incorporation of waterfall legs adds a custom, furniture-like element to the design. To finish the look, an eased edge profile was selected, offering a subtle and contemporary detail that complements the overall new build aesthetic.

Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to the most common questions about our quartz countertops here.
Yes. Quartz is one of the most durable countertop materials available. It is engineered from about 90% ground quartz mixed with resins and pigments, creating a strong, nonporous surface that resists scratches, stains, and everyday wear. While tough, quartz is not totally scratch proof, so it is still best to use a cutting board to protect both the surface and your knives.
Quartz is highly resistant to many kitchen stressors, but it is not designed for direct high heat. The natural quartz in the slab can tolerate heat, but the resins used in manufacturing cannot. To avoid potential burn marks or discoloration, homeowners should always place a hot pad or trivet under very hot cookware. Everyday warm dishes or coffee cups are generally not an issue.
Absolutely. Quartz is nonporous, which means liquids, bacteria, and stains cannot penetrate the surface. It cleans easily with mild soap and water and does not require sealing. This makes it a great fit for busy kitchens, families, or anyone who wants a beautiful countertop without extra upkeep.
